Who is Who at St. Saviour's

Parochial Church Council Members 2011

Alyson has been the vicar at St. Saviour's for 10 years. Before ordination she taught at the Open University and has lived and worked in Nigeria and New Guinea, so she loves the mix of people at St. Saviour's. She most enjoys people asking questions and being willing to take risks in growing closer to God

Kathleen has been a church warden at St. Saviours for six years and then had a break for a year, she is back on the job again for the 2011 year. Kathleen has a wealth of experience in the role. A  very warm hearted lady who takes with her that loving spirit wherever she goes and is very spiritual.

Barbara is a Church Warden and she has been worshipping at St. Saviour's for nearly 50 years. She was married at St. Saviour's and both her sons were baptised  here. Barbara was also a Tawny Owl with the Brownies and an assistant Guider in the Guide Company. She has seen a lot of changes within St. Saviour's, new people joining and sadly older members departing, plus alterations to the church building to make it more accessible to everyone. Barbara loves meeting and talking to people, especially those on their first visit.

Maria is originally from Finland where she was ordained deacon in Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. She has worked three years at the Finnish Church in London as Family Crisis Project Co-ordinator and at the moment she works in child care setting while serving as NSM Deacon at the St. Saviours. Her dream is to one day to be priest of Church of England meanwhile she is very excited to serve St. Saviours family. Her interest is Christian Growth.
